ESAB G50 Prepared for Air Helmet c/w EPR-X1 Air Unit

The G50 from ESAB is one of the more popular and effective PAPR welding helmets UK welders can buy. As well as the respiratory protection from the PAPR unit, it's a fully auto darkening welding helmet. Its lightweight shell has been designed to have sufficient strength and impact resistance for use when grinding has to be carried out. 

The G50 uses an ADF (automatic darkening filter) which gives shade levels between DIN 9-13. The ADF has a lightning fast reaction time, to give welders the best view of the work piece, right up to the start of welding.

The combined welding and grinding helmet and comes with a flip up visor and the large plastic lens behind the visor gives the welder an unobstructed field of view when it's flipped up. With its impact resistance classifications rated at B, it's approved for grinding work. Welders can be confident that they are well protected when grinding any excess welds.

This helmet is suitable for a wide range of welding processes for professionals and hobbyists alike. It can be used on all modern electric arc welding processes, flame welding, cutting and even plasma based processes as well as grinding. It isn't suitable for any laser welding applications however.

The ESAB G50 welding helmet is fully assembled and is ready to be used, once a new owner makes a few minor adjustments to ensure it fits correctly. The comfortable headgear allows adjustment in four different ways:
